Where Intensity Meets Intelligence
In order to reach your athletic potential, you need to push yourself. Change happens only if you are willing to step up and live outside of your comfort zone. However, while the phrase “Go hard or go home,” can often lead to great success in the gym, it can also lead down a path of diminishing returns if the intensity is not purposeful. Those who work the hardest in the gym are not often the ones who win. The people who work the smartest, are the ones who end up on top.
I expect my clients to bring their own motivation. I only work with people who have goals and are eager to push their own physical and mental limits. My job is to guide them and help them achieve those goals through science, experience and example.
Each athlete is responsible for an unsentimental analysis of his/her current fitness. Based on this self-awareness, my assessments and the athlete’s sport-specific or health specific goals I develop an individual skeleton program to help achieve the desired result. This program is fleshed-out with calculated challenges, specific tests, play, and science to achieve optimal performance.
My lacrosse players will have a different program than my distance runner, and my distance runner will have a different program than my weekend warrior, but I am constantly amazed at how much overlap exists. Strength is strength, no matter how you choose to use it.
The key to achieving your goals is to utterly commit all of one’s resources to the task at hand. The task should be purposeful and effective and that is what I am here for. I use a combination of my education, my athletic experience and my creativity to help you achieve whatever goal you desire. Reaching your potential should be everyone’s goal, and I can help you get there.
